Today my goal was to tick off many of the main attractions to see in Frankfurt. After researching online, I found I would be able to see most of the attractions in one day. I started the day by walking along the river main. It was quite a nice and peaceful walk, as the area where my hotel was located was not so crowded and much safer and more laid back than the area around the main train station. I found the trees and bridges that I was passing under on my walk to be quite scenic. I walked along the river until I reached the Iron Foot Bridge which is quite a popular bridge to take photos on in Frankfurt. Around the area where this bridge was located were many interesting-looking older buildings.

On one side of the bridge was a Christmas market, which I decided to explore for brunch. It was just like other Christmas markets really, once you have been to a few they are pretty much all the same. However, I did find the buildings surrounding the market to be quite pretty. They were all old traditional European-styled buildings that gave the Christmas market a far better atmosphere. I stopped at a café for a cream cheese and chive filled pretzel and cappuccino. The pretzel was nice. After my brunch, I continued walking around the Christmas market for a bit admiring the unique architecture of the nearby buildings and having a mug of mulled wine to keep warm.

After walking around for a while, I rode an electric scooter back to my hotel, to get warm before going out to get another haircut. I had been away for so long that I was due to have a second haircut abroad. After the haircut, I headed back to the same Christmas market for a burger and a beer for dinner. I had a spicy burger that was quite delicious, and so was the pint of local beer.

After dinner, I went back to my hotel and went to the hotel gym for a short while, before ending the day working on my blog. After today, I felt much better about being in Frankfurt, and my impression had been restored from the first day’s events.
