After breakfast, Paul picked me up taking me back to his house for a short time to pick up Jennifer and show me his Jaguar, which I thought was quite nice and looked like a lot of fun. The three of us then went and picked up Gerald and Boyd from their homes before heading into Chester. Since I had already walked around quite a bit with Laura, we did a bit of a different route around Chester. We walked past the castle, and around the city wall. We went through the Roman gardens which were quite interesting. I found the old Roman floor heating quite impressive.
Whilst we were walking along the wall, we walked under the clock tower again, and Paul pointed out the exact place where my Flat Stanley met his demise many years ago. My original Flat Stanley fell behind a sign, on the old city wall near the clock tower, which is still there to this day.
We next walked past the cathedral and went to a pub for a beer. Then we went to a different pub for lunch where I had a pie, although it was more like beef soup with some pastry sitting on top. It was a great day chatting with everyone and learning more about Chester. But sadly, eventually, the time came when I had to go back to London. I am appreciative of all my relatives in England who made the effort to meet me, show me around, and accommodate me.
After saying goodbye to everyone, I caught the train back to London. By the time I arrived in London, it was already quite late, so I didn’t do any sightseeing.
