Today marks the first day of my trip to visit Singapore and Malaysia site-seeing and participating in Monash University study tour. My study tour will start on the 1st of December, so I will have a few days to spend relaxing and site-seeing in Singapore beforehand. My girlfriend, Angie will be joining me for these first three days, so today she joined me in flying from Melbourne to Singapore.
Originally, we were supposed to fly at 1:10 PM however the flight was delayed until 2 PM before ultimately being cancelled once we had arrived at the airport. This was a little annoying, however, Angie was able to arrange an alternative flight leaving around 10:30 pm. This meant that instead of enjoying our evening relaxing and having some drinks in Singapore, we instead had to do so at the Melbourne airport taking advantage of the $20 mimosas for two deal at the AFL Bar at the Melbourne airport.
When we finally left Melbourne, our flight was standard, although I wouldn’t know because I slept through almost the entire flight which was good because we landed in Singapore around 3:30 AM. Once we collected our bags and SIM cards, we proceeded to catch a Grab to our hotel, the Mecure Icon before adding another 3 hours to our total rest for the night.
