The train from Florence to Venice took around 2 hours. I spent most of that time working on my blog and practicing Chinese on my phone.
Arriving in Venice
When we arrived in Venice, we were immediately greeted with the typical postcard scene of the famous place, seeing the streets where roads are replaced with canals filled with boats and gondolas. The islands of Venice were a lot bigger than I was expecting.
We caught the ferry to the famous Rialto Bridge so we could get closer to our hotel. After dropping off our bags in the hotel, I went to a nearby gym for a while.
Later in the evening, we browsed a famous bookstore where the books are in boats – but sadly all the books were in Italian. Later, we had some Venetian spritz and sirloin steak for dinner.
